Skip the rush hour to unwind, sip, and create a mindful piece of art. Kickernick's monthly art happy hour brings you and your friends a fun, hands-on art experience complete with a free cocktail from Tropico. Every month features a resident artist leading the way.
Our inaugural happy hour will meet in the Kickernick Lobby, grab cocktails or mocktails, and head up to the brand new art classroom on the 4th floor. Kelsey Anderson will lead the group in exploring mandala-inspired art.
Mandalas are geometric circular patterns found in many cultures, from Indian and Tibetan traditions to medieval cathedrals and indigenous art. You will start with a basic round template as your guide, and our focus will be on mindfulness and creativity. You will leave feeling relaxed and inspired.
No experience required. Ages 21+.

Bring your favorite canvas shoes and transform them into wearable masterpieces. I've been designing and creating hand-painted shoes for many years and often get asked "Where did you buy those?!" Wearing your own art feels special!
You'll watch Kelsey demonstrate how she designs and transforms shoes into art. You'll receive individual guidance, tips, and have a wide range of paints and pens available to make your kicks uniquely yours. And most of all, I want my guests to enjoy the up-lifiting experience of making art with other artists.
Suitable for ages 10+, all skill levels welcome.

INTRO TO FLUID ACRYLICS
